FM3 TECHNICIAN/ENGINEER REQUIRMENTS
ISSUED TO: TECHNICIAN OR ENGINEERS AND TO THOSE WHO TRAVEL TO PROVIDE VERBAL OR MANUAL TECHNICAL SUPPORT ASSITANCE, BUSINESS AUDITS, TO INSTALL OR REPAIR MACHINERY, TO TRAIN PERSONEL IN MEXICO OR TO TAKE TOOLS OR MACHINEY INTO MEXICO.
- Valid passport, the passport must have a validity of at least one year, and not about to expire, plus one photocopy of passport. If the person not A U.S. CITIZEN and is a legal resident of the U.S.A., a copy of the front and back of the ALIEN REGISTRATION CARD (Green card) or a copy of his American visa will be required.
- Letter addressed to the Consulate General of Mexico by the American Company on the company’s official letterhead the person represents that must state the following:
- The specific activities to be conducted in Mexico.
- The person will reside in the U.S.A.
- Time requested and length of stay(s) in Mexico, not to exceed three (3) consecutive days per visit.
- The salary the person earns per year and that he will be paid in the United States
- A copy of the Company’s Business License or Letter from the Chamber of Commerce to verify that the company is in good standing.
- A letter or letters from the company or company’s in Mexico on the company’s official letter head, addressed to the company in the U.S. requesting the service of the technician or engineer and the activities to be performed.
- Two front view pictures (passport size). No automatic machine photos will be accepted.
- Application form filled out completely.
ATTENTION:: Applications are accepted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. MONDAY THROUGH FRIIDAY. FOR SECURITY REASONS ALL APPLICANTS MUST WAIT AT THE MEXICAN CONSULATE OFFICE UNTIL THE APPLICATION IS APPROVED BY THE MEXICAN IMMIGRATION IN MEXICO CITY. APPROVAL MIGHT TAKE MORE THAN 1 HR.
